The 23rd International Medical Tourism Exhibition and the 5th Functional Medicine Innovation Conference successfully concluded at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on April 19th.  Over three days, the event showcased cutting-edge medical achievements and featured a series of thematic seminars and industry exchange activities, providing new impetus to the health industry.

A Global Perspective on the Medical Landscape

This year's exhibition demonstrated significant internationalization, drawing participants from over 30 key medical tourism destinations, including China, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Colombia, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, and Mexico.

Over 300 international medical institutions and enterprises presented a diverse array of specialized programs.  These included cross-border medical treatment, assisted reproduction, tumor prevention and treatment, cell technology, regenerative medicine, anti-aging management, aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery, international nutritional products, chronic disease management, comprehensively addressing the "prevention-diagnosis-treatment-rehabilitation" continuum of health management.

The event featured a number of leading international brands, including Switzerland's Clinic Lemanic, IMG Medical Group (Global), and a strong presence from the United States with Ember Fertility Center, California Fertility Clinic, Labryo Fertility, Western Fertility Institute, Saipan IVF, and Mariana IVF.  European representation included Georgia's European Fertility Clinic, ReproART, and Silk Medical, while Juntendo University Hospital, Nippon Medical School Hospital, KYB Group, RD Clinic, and Precision Clinic showcased Japan's advanced medical services.  South East Asia was represented by BDMS, BDMS Wellness Clinic, Stem Cell 21, SUPERIOR ART, Metro IVF, and SH Group.

The three-day exhibition attracted over 20,000 professional visitors for on-site engagement and networking.  Attendees included representatives from international hospitals and medical service organizations, international medical referral agencies, private hospitals and clinics, health check centers, high-end consumers and health management seekers, investors and partners, and international medical tourism government agencies.

Driving Industry Advancement through Expert Summits

Mr. Dang Yingjian, Business Development Director of Microsoft Healthcare Greater China, served as the host for the exhibition's opening ceremony.  Attendees included Mr. Niu Song, General Manager of Zhenghe Exhibition Group; Mr. Yakumaru, Director of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Shanghai Office; Ms. Gao Liying, Deputy Director of the Switzerland Tourism Board China Office; Mr. Liu Songping, Vice President of the China Convention and Exhibition Economy Research Association and President of the Guangdong Convention and Exhibition Organizing Enterprise Association; Mr. Xiao Yingjie, Founding President of the Greater Bay Area Medical Professional Development Association; Mr. Yang Youcai, President of the Shanghai Health Promotion Association - Pharmaceutical Health Promotion Association; and Ms. Huang Lina, Secretary-General.  These leaders attended the opening ceremony and toured the exhibition, expressing high praise for the event.

The exhibition also featured a series of concurrent thematic forums focused on international medicine, nutrient supplementation and intestinal environment reconstruction, cell exosomes and regenerative medicine, anti-aging medicine and hormone management, tumor treatment, cell therapy and health management, chronic disease management, medical cosmetology and regenerative medicine, ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, and international assisted reproduction.  Over a hundred domestic and international experts shared insights from their international medical practices, discussed industry development trends, and promoted the exchange and advancement of international medical technologies, providing attendees with valuable technical information and perspectives on industry dynamics.

The "Global Medical Cooperation" Night - 2025 International Medical Tourism and Functional Medicine Industry Exchange Gala, hosted by Zhenghua Exhibition Group, with strong support from TFC Taipei Reproductive Center, Kyushu Regenerative Medicine Center, Beijing Haiyifu Technology Co., Ltd., Phyathai Sriracha Hospital, RD Clinic, Clinique Lémanic, Medical Corporation MOTIF Motif Ginza Clinic, Juzhongneng Biotechnology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., NF Essential Limited, Kyrgyzstan Timeclinic Reproductive Hospital (Kyrgyzstan Jixiangguo Medical Service Co., Ltd.), and Yuantong Hongyu (Dalian) Medical Health Management Co., Ltd., was held on the evening of April 17th.
