The Philippine government has relaxed entry requirements in three aspects since May 30 to facilitate more international visitors.

Romulo puyat, Philippine Minister of tourism, stated, "we do our best to provide more convenience for tourists to come to the Philippines, while ensuring public health and safety has always been our primary purpose."

According to the latest statistics of the Philippine National Tourism Department, the number of international tourists has been increasing since February 10, 2022. By May 25, 2022, the total number of inbound international tourists has exceeded 510000.

From May 30, international tourists who have been fully vaccinated enter the Philippines, only need to provide the vaccination certificate of the new crown vaccine, and do not need the nucleic acid test results. Among them, tourists aged 18 or above need to be fully vaccinated and given booster shots; Tourists aged 12 to 17 should be fully vaccinated; Tourists under the age of 12 should travel with their parents or guardians who have been fully vaccinated and fortified.

The country lifted the restrictions on the types of vaccination certificates for the new crown vaccine and accepted all types of vaccination certificates from all countries.

Tourism insurance and specific insurance amount are no longer necessary conditions for entering the Philippines, but the country still encourages tourists to buy tourism insurance.

At present, the Philippines is one of the most simple and convenient countries in Asia. The popular island tourism destinations and related facilities such as Boracay, Cebu, Mentha island and Palawan are ready to welcome international tourists. The staff of the tourism industry have also been fully vaccinated.

It is reported that the Philippines has been open to Chinese tourists who have been fully vaccinated since April 1. Chinese tourists shall abide by the following regulations when entering the country: holding passports valid for more than 6 months; Apply for and obtain a Philippine visa; Complete vaccination and booster injection; Provide the new crown vaccination certificate; Provide valid return air tickets or valid air tickets to other destinations within 30 days after arriving in the Philippines; Registered on the official platform of the Philippine Quarantine Service (onehealthpass.com.ph).
