A total of 4,554 American hospitals participated in this ranking. "U.S. News and World Report" evaluated and ranked 16 medical specialties, of which 12 specialties were ranked based on objective data, and the remaining 4 specialties (ophthalmology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and rheumatology) The ranking depends entirely on expert opinion, that is, the results of a questionnaire survey conducted on specialist physicians over the past three years.
 
In the ranking of 12 specialties based on objective data, the total score of each hospital is based on its performance in four areas: ①Medical results (37.5%): Including patient survival rate and being able to be discharged home without going to other hospitals Proportion of patients receiving medical care; ②Patient experience (5%): This reflects the proportion of patients who responded positively to the survey on the overall quality of the hospital during treatment; ③Other medical-related indicators (30%): including nursing staff, The number of patients, certain clinically proven technologies, and recognition of specific professions and specialties; ④Expert opinion (27.5%): A questionnaire survey is conducted on specialist physicians from 16 excellent hospitals in specialties, and they are invited to list what they think It has better 5 hospitals for the diagnosis and treatment of complicated or difficult cases in its specialties, regardless of the location and medical expenses of the hospitals.
